Summer!

So, I questioned where the summer went…it looks like a year slipped by…

It’s now the last day of May, one year later.  I didn’t really update my blog here, because I’ve been keeping secret journals tucked away, and not sharing them with anyone.  That’s more or less where I’ve been writing lately.  I’ll probably cross-post some items here on occasion, but generally I’m going to keep public things public, and private things private.

Don’t feel bad, though.  I’m writing here, now, and I’m going to try to keep a post a week here, or so.  We’ll see how June goes.

So where did the summer go?

It’s already the end of June and I feel like summer is passing us by! Now that’s not exactly the case. Syd has a great tan from being outside all the time, and we’ve gone to a different festival each weekend since May. We’ve kept busy, but the weeks have slid by.

Now we’re three weeks from our annual beach vacation which usually marks the end of summer for us. It’s just so hard to believe it’s here already!

Tuesday report from the trenches

Nothing much to report. It’s a scorcher out there. We walked to J. Gumbo’s for lunch. I had no iddea that beans and rice had so many delicious calories! I’ll have to eat a very small dinner tonight.

Need to head to the library tonight to pick up syd’s stuff for summer team read!

Just waiting while some code compiles…

I realized I hadn’t updated my wordpress blog in quite a while.  Since Dragoncon, when my blackberry wordpress application ATE three of my posts, and I decided against using it.  Still, I like the wordpress format better than most that are out there.

I’ll keep posting occasionally, just to give this format a chance.

Trueblood q/a sat 11:30

I got here about 10:45 and had a seat in the middle if a huge number of people. They had two screens running dragoncontv clips and bumpers. They were really funny.

The trueblood cast was great! Sam, layfayte, pam and marriane. Very funny, but a great panel.

Dragoncon – friday

Let me just say that holding a con in “one” convention center is a blessing. Dragoncon is held in 3. The marriot, Hyatt and Hilton. Which one has stuff going on 24/7? All of them.

I thought I saw adam from mythbusters in the bar. I did get to talk to Leanna and I know what I’m going to try to see today. The trueblood panel at 11:30 and the eureka panel at 2:30.

But I have to go get in line for them an hour ago, so we’ll see what I actually get into.
